We enjoyed our stay at this clean and modern hotel. The rooms are compact, clean, and have very comfortable beds. We parked at the garage right next door (entrance on the next street) which cost about $17 overnight or there is valet parking. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff is friendly. We would stay here again when in the area.

Stayed here for a work trip. The hotel was beautiful and room was clean. The only downfall is the way the drain was set up the water drained very slow and I wish the sink stopper lifted up higher so the water drained better. Outside of that no complaints! I also enjoyed having a water refill hydration station on my floor!

This hotel is fabulous! My room was exceptionally clean, and the front desk staff were so kind and helpful. Clayton is a lovely area. Felt safe walking alone downtown at night to get dinner. I’ve seen others mention parking being difficult, but I didn’t have any trouble—there are just limited spots for valet and no pull through area. The valet staff is hit and miss, but they are not employed by the hotel and work for a third party. I had one valet attendant who was not very kind but the others were great. Overall a fabulous hotel and I’d recommend to anyone!

Hotel was clean and modern. Every staff member I interacted with was fantastic, especially Char at the front desk, she was so kind and warm and went above and beyond for my entire stay! Also loved the rooftop bar! We will definitely be back!

My stay was centered around NYE and I made a reservation at the HighBar which is the hotel’s rooftop bar which is pretty exclusive and I’ve heard it’s hard to get a reservation at times so book ahead. The bar is very small group friendly, with small tables, a fire pit, and a small bar. The bar and dining area is probably 1500 sq ft of space for entertainment and is low key, but it invites a cool intimate atmosphere. The server we had, Brandon, was phenomenal and most accommodating. The food was good and the drinks were also good. The bar ran out of some ingredients while we were there, but being NYE it was understandable. My spouse and I had our own special event we planned for this night and the bar and the hotel helped make that extra special and did some cool things for us. Overall, our experience here was positive and we would stay here again. The only real negative I found was if you don’t use valet parking the parking option is a public garage around the corner from the hotel, but it’s very close and the walk is not far at all. The garage was not very inviting, however it’s not maintained by the hotel so take that for what it is.

had a higher end feel and was extremely clean. Rooftop bar was freezing and food was okay, but not up to expectations for the price point. The street it is on is atrocious. They had 2 parking spaces in front for the valet on a very tiny one way street. Atrocious drive up situation. Staff was great!

EDIT: I've thought about this review and the hotel really is well designed with great staff. I added a star to the overall rating. This is a new hotel and convenient to the WashU main campus. Room was clean and staff was attentive. Very modern rooms which were very nice. The negative is that its location has virtually no area for unloading/check in for cars. They have valet for a ridiculous $32/day. I was told that if I chose to self park in the adjacent garage, it’s cheaper to choose the $20 ‘lost ticket’ option. They really should offer a cheaper or free parking alternative which most of the other area hotels do. The top floor is a bar/club and it is extremely rowdy and loud. The front area was littered with garbage in the morning and smokers hang out in the front area all night. Take this into consideration if your room is on the street frontage as you’ll hear these party goers all night until the bar closes.

I have been a Marriott Bonvoy member, travelling every other week for work for years (232 nights spent in Marriotts to be exact), and this is the best Marriott experience I have ever had. The staff truly made me feel right at home, and I feel so lucky to have been able to stay here and make such genuine connections with them. I looked forward to seeing them every other week (especially Shy - she is the best!!!). If you are debating between any of the hotels in Clayton, this is the one to pick!
